چکیده
Recurrence quantification analysis is a widely used method for characterizing patterns in time series. This article presents comprehensive survey conducting wide range of recurrence-based analyses to quantify the dynamical structure single and multivariate series, capture coupling properties underlying leader-follower relationships. The basics recurrence (RQA) all its variants are formally introduced step-by-step from simplest auto-recurrence most advanced case. Importantly, we show how such RQA methods can be deployed under computational framework R using substantially renewed version our crqa 2.0 package. package includes implementations several recent advances analysis, among them applications data, improved entropy calculations categorical data. We concrete example together with detailed description functions some guidelines on their usage.

Unidimensional scaling of multidimensional facial expressions.
It is often possible to construct unidimensional scales of multidimensional stimuli. Thurstonian scaling theory predicts that the standard deviations of differences in unidimensional paired-comparisons scaling of such stimuli should covary with the qualitative similarity between the stimuli being compared. In a test of this prediction, 78 5s judged 11 facial expressions from the Lightfoot serie...

متن کاملMultidimensional Recurrence Quantification Analysis (MdRQA) for the Analysis of Multidimensional Time-Series: A Software Implementation in MATLAB and Its Application to Group-Level Data in Joint Action
We introduce Multidimensional Recurrence Quantification Analysis (MdRQA) as a tool to analyze multidimensional time-series data. We show how MdRQA can be used to capture the dynamics of high-dimensional signals, and how MdRQA can be used to assess coupling between two or more variables. In particular, we describe applications of the method in research on joint and collective action, as it provi...
متن کاملFrom Unidimensional to Multidimensional Inequality, Welfare and Poverty Measurement
In this handout we review results concerning representation of partial orders via stochastic orders and investigate their applications to some classes of stochastic dominance conditions applied in inequality, poverty and welfare measurement. The results obtained in an unidimensional framework are extended to multidimensional analysis. In particular we provide an overview of the main issues conc...
متن کاملFechnerian metrics in unidimensional and multidimensional stimulus spaces.
A new theory is proposed for subjective (Fechnerian) distances among stimuli in a continuous stimulus space of arbitrary dimensionality. Each stimulus in such a space is associated with a psychometric function that determines probabilities with which it is discriminated from other stimuli, and a certain measure of its discriminability from its infinitesimally close neighboring stimuli is comput...
